We are sure that if this is your very first time to contemplate setting up a web site of your own, you will have many, many questions before you make the final decision to contract for our services or the services of one of the other web design companies. We have set up an information email address that you may use to ask about anything connected with the process. This special email address is at info@shamrockwebservice.com and we promise answers that you and your staff will understand written in plain English and not loaded with techno-garble trying to impress you with knowledge that has absolutely nothing to do with setting up your web site.

In addition to this email address we also have one set up specifically for our existing clients and with this mail box, our staff can answer specific questions regarding your account or to check on our progress as we design and develop according to your needs and desires. In addtion, if you decide to use our maintenance staff to update your web site on a regular basis, this is the mail box where your updated content would be sent.

Some of the more frequently asked questions are as follows:

Q. I already have my domain name - www.mycompany.com - Do I have to get another?
A. No, that domain name is yours as long as you are paying for it. We will use that one.

Q. I already have a web site that I don't like, Can you change that one?
A. Of course, as long as we have the user name and password and the IP address of the server so we can FTP your new pages up to the site.

Q. What does FTP stand for?
A. File Transfer Protocol - It is just the tool that we use to transfer files from our computers here up to the web servers that allow the world to see your site.

Q. Do I have to put up a lot of money up front?
A. No, we require a small deposit before we start the design of a new site but before it actually goes on the site, you have complete approval of the work that we have done and once you are satisfied then the balance is due.
